At Google Cloud Next today, the business revealed it is bringing 2 brand name new information centers online in the 2020 timespan, with one in Seoul, South Korea and one in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The business, like a lot of its web scale peers, has had the information center structure pedal to the metal over the last several years. It has grown to 15 regions, with each region hosting several zones for an overall of 45 zones. In all, the company has a presence in 13 nations and states it has invested an outstanding $47 billion (with a B) of CAPEX investment from 2016-2018
” We’re going to be announcing the schedule in early 2020 of Seoul, South Korea. So we are revealing a region there with 3 zones for clients to build their applications. Again, consumers, either multinationals that are seeking to serve their consumers because market or local customers that are aiming to go global. This really assists address their requirements and allows them to serve the consumers in the way that they wish to,” Dominic Preuss, director of product management said.
He added, “Likewise, Salt Lake City is our 3rd region in the western United States together with Oregon and Los Angeles. And so it enables designers to construct dispersed applications across several regions in the western United States.”
In addition, the company revealed that its brand-new data center in Osaka, Japan is anticipated to come online a long time in the coming weeks. One in Jakarta, Indonesia, presently under building, is expected to come online the first half of next year.
